Pakistan comes up with its own Kolaveri Di

New Delhi: Another version of 'Kolaveri Di' has surfaced. This time it's from Pakistan. A group of Pakistani enthusiasts have come up with their adaptation which is more of a political comment than a song.

The song is called 'Where is democracy jee' and features five middle aged men who are apparently tired of the Pakistani government.

The satire is an attempt to show the nexus between the politicians and corrupt market forces
Several versions of 'Kolaveri' have come into light in last some days but this is probably the first time when someone has used it as a political satire. 'Slap Song' also had political content embedded into it but that was more like a fun video than a serious statement.

The popularity of the original song 'Kolaveri Di' sung by Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush has not died down yet. The song has received more than 25 million hits on YouTube so far. Time magazine had also mentioned the song
