Superstar Rajinikanth has offered his Sri Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam at Kodambakkam in Chennai free of cost to the activists of Anna Hazare-led India Against Corruption (IAC) to hold their protest fast for next three days.
The numero uno actor of south Indian cinema, who had in August this year issued a statement in support of anti-corruption movement run by Hazare, also reportedly spoke to the Gandhian when he was in Chennai last week.
In a statement issued on Monday, IAC said Rajinikanth has offered his Ragavendra Kalyana Mandapam free of cost for three days (from December 27 to December 29) for the organization to hold their fast protest in support of Anna Hazare, who is sitting on a similar fast in Mumbai.
"Rajini sir has been a supporter of the movement for a long time. We are constantly in touch with him. When we approached Latha Rajinikanth for a venue for the fast, she immediately came forward to offer us the marriage hall," one of the organizers said.
